So I know I forgot to blog about it, but I am doing it now. So when John had introduced the game, it seemed like it was going to be difficult, and confusing how ever very action packed. We did the warm ups and tested the team work aspect, on my chariot was Grace, Maddie, and Monish and also Avani joined later on. Throughout the warm up we had tried to stay synchronized and it was difficult at first but later on got better.
So the first trial began and we used the strategy which was keep the charioteer who had the pinnies against the wall, and when teams came closer we would sprint to the the other side of the gym. We didn't come up with a good strategy to pull pinnies we just wanted to stay in the game for as long as we could. Successfully the first round we got 2 pinnies and I think only had to ever change charioteers once. So far our strategy was working. We sat down and made a more defined set of rules for this trial of the game like no passing the rope, and no savagely jumping and attacking one another, with this we found it was a more controlled environment and we stayed in the game longer, but also took more pinnies, the game had started working more efficiently. For the third time around two members of the chariots went blind folded, (Maddie and I) instead of running we walked, but this time you really have to focus on team work. I think our team did really well because we still were able to protect the charioteer but also turn and move using words like left, right, spring forward, turn clockwise etc.
I really liked this game, and I think John did a great job of incorporating teamwork skills but also finding a fun way to still let us be as hectic as we usually are.
Great job on the defensive strategies :)
