Chaos on the Kabbadi field

So this friday we had buddies and our task was to teach them the chariot game and help them out throughout it all. I really like my buddy, he always talks about the shows he likes and has such a creative imagination. We bond over things like the ninja turtles, icarly, and also other things like that. We got to catch up with out buddies and what we did on spring break and my buddy did the same exact thing as me, watch tv and well play outside.
On our chariot we had my buddy and I, Ruth and her buddy, and also Gurkirat. We let the buddies take turns on being the charioteers, however I think both preferred to be the horse and steal pinnies away from the other chariots, for the start of the game I felt like i was being dragged along because they were so eager to steal pinnies. We used communications like "RUNNN" and also keeping the charioteer towards the fences of the field, I think that even though it was a fast paced game and that our team collected like 7 pinnies the whole game it was a bit hard for Ruth and I. It was hard because the buddies  sometimes didn't listen or we felt so over protective of our chariot when teams came at us we wanted to go to an open spot that our buddies didn't necessarily see but we couldn't exactly drag them along, so it resulted in our pinnies being taken. I think that towards the end of the game Ruth and I had put it aside and just let our buddies do all the directing, it was still a good time.
Walking back I had asked my buddy what things we could do to keep the pinnies and take more and he suggested things like running the full circle so we can take all pinnies as we pass by.
This game helped me learn that it is sometimes difficult to control things, and that we shouldn't control things all the time, things take patience. I also think that the buddies and our class have learned teamwork, and also moving at other peoples paces rather than moving at your own speed.

Chariots

So I know I forgot to blog about it, but I am doing it now. So when John had introduced the game, it seemed like it was going to be difficult, and confusing how ever very action packed. We did the warm ups and tested the team work aspect, on my chariot was Grace, Maddie, and Monish and also Avani joined later on. Throughout the warm up we had tried to stay synchronized and it was difficult at first but later on got better.

So the first trial began and we used the strategy which was keep the charioteer who had the pinnies against the wall, and when teams came closer we would sprint to the the other side of the gym. We didn't come up with a good strategy to pull pinnies we just wanted to stay in the game for as long as we could. Successfully the first round we got 2 pinnies and I think only had to ever change charioteers once. So far our strategy was working. We sat down and made a more defined set of rules for this trial of the game like no passing the rope, and no savagely jumping and attacking one another, with this we found it was a more controlled environment and we stayed in the game longer, but also took more pinnies, the game had started working more efficiently. For the third time around two members of the chariots went blind folded, (Maddie and I) instead of running we walked, but this time you really have to focus on team work. I think our team did really well because we still were able to protect the charioteer but also turn and move using words like left, right, spring forward, turn clockwise etc.
I really liked this game, and I think John did a great job of incorporating teamwork skills but also finding a fun way to still let us be as hectic as we usually are.

Sprranng Breakk

For the first week of spring break I have been completely unmotivated to do anything what so ever. With some bad news that came in about my grandpas passing and the known fact that i would have a whole two weeks without as many responsibilities as I would usually have it made for well a rather lazy unproductive first week. In the. back of my mind I wanted to go out and get fresh air and go for a run, but it was so hard to get out of my comfortable bed that i left for like 6-7 hours on school days, I would literally stay up til the early morning and then sleep til 1:30pm. I was basically like this the whole time
I realized with the second week closing in   that i needed to be more productive, since it was just my siblings and I for the rest of the break. I did homework so i didn't stress on Sunday night especially with a concert i had that day. I started getting up earlier, and taking on more of my responsibilities. However with my exercise and healthy choices it improved too; When the sibs and I went grocery shopping i made a more health conscious choice to what i picked to buy because considering all the bad foods I ate in the past week I needed it. I started drinking more tea, and eating oatmeal especially with the cold rainy weather. ( I actually like oatmeal) So eating got better and it wasn't too bad, for exercising On Monday I woke up for a run, and ran down 152nd, near the y, up 150th and back to my house. Tuesday afternoon I hit up our yoga/dance room to work on Choreography for dance and also do our usual dance routine we do during practice because we didn't get a chance to practice as a team during the break. I also did small workouts focusing on strengthening the back, and core one day, the next focused on legs and arms the alternating day. Was not motivated to do anything but convinced myself it would benefit me. I also was not motivated to take pics so here are very little ones whoops.
On the bottom picture I just tied my shoes and went for a run, and then on the bottom right it was me working my legs with a bit of cardio.

also took a time lapse  of me doing the normal stretch to start off, and also a video at the end of one of my workouts and me being sweaty. gross.
